St. Peter CWC
The St. Peter Church Catholic Woman's Club met for its monthly meeting Nov. 13 with Linda Edgar, president, leading the opening and closing prayers.
The group again this year made a monetary donation to Urban Mission Ministries for five Thanksgiving food baskets.
The sixth-annual toy drive, which began Nov. 13, will continue through Dec. 13. Toys will be donated to Urban Mission.
A reception for the Rev. Timothy Huffman is planned for Dec. 7 after the 7 p.m. Mass when he will be installed as pastor of St. Peter Parish.
The next fundraiser will be a pasta dinner in March.
Enice Boyde won the 50/50 drawing.
The next CWC meeting will be held Jan. 8 at noon in the church hall. Hostesses will be Carolyn Klonowski, Joanne Straker and Bernie Zapolnik.
Second Baptist Church located at 717 Adams St., Steubenville, will celebrate its 121st anniversary Sunday.
The celebration will begin at the 11 a.m. morning worship and the afternoon service beginning at 4:30 p.m. and featuring guest pastor the Rev. Weyman Stephens Jr.
A native of Steubenville, Stephens is the pastor and founder of New Revelation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Erie, Pa.
Stephens will be accompanied by his praise ministry, flag ministry, step ministry and his children, "Prophecy."
The celebration theme will be "A Firm Foundation."
The Rev. Calvin McLoyd is the pastor of Second Baptist Church.
Holiday concert at
The Carrollton Bible Chapel at 365 Steubenville Road, S.E., Carrollton, will host Jonathan White in a Christmas concert on Sunday beginning at 6:30 p.m.
White, who has recorded many albums and singles, has been nominated in the past for several SGN awards. In addition to being a soloist, he also sings in a trio with Steven Cheney and Sheldon Mencer, known as Mencer, White and Cheney.
A love offering will be taken. Those attending are asked to donations of gloves, socks or mittens for Loaves and Dishes.
A cookie reception will follow the performance.
