Holy Resurrection is one of two Orthodox churches in the Upper Ohio Valley still using the Julian calendar to set feast days. The Julian calendar, at use during Christ's time, is 13 days behind the civil Gregorian calendar, thus Jan. 7 on the Gregorian calendar is Dec. 25 on the Julian calendar.
Holy Resurrection serves Orthodox Christians throughout the Upper Ohio Valley, and all are welcome.
