Wrestling on tap at Big Red
STEUBENVILLE - The OHSAA Division II Regional Team Wrestling Tournament will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday inside the Crimson Center at Steubenville High School.
No. 3 Beaver Local will take on No. 2 Tri-Valley and No. 4 Cambridge meets No. 1 Big Red. Matches will be held simultaneously in Division 12A.
The winners will meet approximately 20 minutes after the end of the semifinals.
Entry is $7 per person as set by the OHSAA.
Smithfield to hold registration
SMITHFIELD - The Smithfield Little League will hold sign-ups from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Smithfield Firehouse for T-ball (ages 5-6), Pinto (7-8), Mustang (9-10) and Bronco (11-12). Cost is $40 per child of $60 per family.
Softball sign-ups will also be held for ages 10-and-under, 14-and-under and 18-and-under. Fees are $50 per child and $10 for each additional family member.

Bergholz sign-ups announced
BERGHOLZ - Sign-up dates and times for Bergholz baseball and softball have been announced.
They will be held at the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Department from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 and Feb. 12; and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 23.
It is open to all boys and girls in the area with T-Ball for ages 5-6; coach pitch (7-8); and baseball/softball (9-14).
The cost is $40 for the first child in the family and $30 for each additional child in a family. The fee is payable at sign-up.

Softball tryouts to be held
STEUBENVILLE - The Steubenville Girls Softball League will hold tryouts for girls ages 8-15 from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 23 in the Steubenville High School commons area. The cost is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child.
