The Rotary Club of Weirton Heights will hold its 2013 Mardi Gras Gala Feb. 9 at the Williams Country Club.
MedExpress will sponsor a musical performance by Legends; Tom Raymond and the country club staff will prepare the meal; and Gus's Goodies will provide desserts.
Throughout the event, drawings will be held for gift baskets, each valued at least $100.
All proceeds will benefit Piece by Peace Inc., a local nonprofit organization providing sensory rooms for autistic children and adults. The sensory-friendly room provides a calming environment locally, instead of families having to travel to Pittsburgh or Wheeling. The Mardi Gras Gala proceeds will allow the organization to finish a second room.
Corporate-level sponsorships are still available, and tickets are $50 per person.
