GILCHRIST, Kurt, 46, of Wellsburg, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1966, in Wheeling to his parents, Daniel and JoAnn (Fletcher) Gilchrist of Wellsburg.
He was a member of the Wellsburg First Baptist Church and worked in the Brooke County School System as a custodian and was also a custodian at the First Baptist Church. He had served on the Wellsburg Fourth of July committee, and was a parent volunteer for Brooke Soccer.
He was preceded by his mother-in-law, Betty Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Clark Gilchrist, and his twin sons, Jeremy and Jacob Gilchrist, eight years old, at home, and daughter, Megan Gilchrist, 11 years old, at home, two brothers, Daniel Gilchrist and Michael Gilchrist and his wife, Thresea, all of Wellsburg and a sister, Brenda Jo Kerr, and her husband, Richard, of Myrtle Beach, SC, his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Darlynn Clark, of Colliers, several nieces, nephews and brother and sister-in-laws, also his beloved dog, Pepper.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg. Also on Wednesday from 10 until time of services at 11 a.m. at the Wellsburg First Baptist Church with Pastor Art Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Wellsburg First Baptist Church.
