St. Thomas Episcopal holding fish frys throughout Lent
WEIRTON - St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Three Springs Drive will hold fish frys from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday during Lent.
The cost is $6.50 per sandwich and $8 per dinner.
Sides include fries, cole slaw or applesauce. There also will be desserts.

Bike ride, chili cookoff set
WEIRTON - American Bikers Aimed Toward Education of West Virginia's Upper Ohio Valley Chapter will host its annual Blue Buns Ride and Chili Cook-off Saturday at the Across the Street Club, 3356 Pennsylvania Ave.
Registration will start at noon, with the bikes leaving at 1 p.m. The motorcycle ride will depend on the weather, but the chili cook-off will happen regardless of the weather.
WBA?board to meet
WEIRTON - The Weirton Baseball Association will hold a board meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion.
Those interested in becoming a team manager need to complete forms for a background check.
Management club to meet
WEIRTON - The Weirton Steel Management Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Giovanni's Restaurant banquet room.
All members and former members are invited to attend. Dinner and social will be enjoyed.
'Alex Cross' film to be screened
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will be showing the PG-13-rated film, "Alex Cross," at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Based on the bestselling books by James Patterson, it follows the young homicide detective-psychologist as he meets his match in a serial killer.

WEIRTON - Eileen Reeves will give a Black History Month presentation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Apostolic Church located at 3000 Weir Ave.

Players present 'Cemetery Club'
HICKORY, Pa. - The Old Schoolhouse Players present "The Cemetery Club," written by Ivan Menchell and directed by Marcus Muzopappa, March 15-24 at the Bud Allison Memorial Auditorium at the Mount Pleasant Township Community Center located at 20 Wabash Ave.
Performances will be given at 7:30 p.m. March 15-16 and 22-23 and 3 p.m. March 17 and 24.
