Toronto to hold sign-ups
TORONTO - Registration for Toronto Pony League will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Toronto High?School hitting facility. The cost is $50 per person.
McIntyre earns football honors
WOOSTER - Steubenville Big Red graduate Jordan McIntyre was named the Offensive Player of the Year for the College of Wooster football team.
A slot receiver, McIntyre put together career-best statistics as a senior - 44 receptions, 532 yards and six touchdowns - in every receiving category to earn his first postseason recognition, an honorable mention selection in the All-North Coast Athletic Conference.
He was among the top-10 in the NCAC in receiving yardage and also carried the ball 13 times for 169 yards and another score. His best outings of the year came in back-to-back weeks as he had eight catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a four-reception, 99-yard, two-touchdown effort against Hiram.
He finished his career as the program's second all-time receptions leader. He is fifth in all-time receiving yardage and is tied for ninth with 10 touchdown receptions.
Baseball camp to be held
WINTERSVILLE - ACE will hold baseball camps from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (7-10 year olds) and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (11-14) on April 21 at Bantam Ridge Elementary.
