BETHANY - The GFWC-WV Bethany Woman's Club met Feb. 18 at Bethany Memorial Church, with President Helen Moren presiding.
Devotions were offered by Billie Jo Falcon.
Reports were heard from Secretary Beverly Chambers, Treasurer Judy Pyle and Charlotte Chambers on the pancake dinner held Feb. 12. Chambers reported on The Bethany Buzz, a newspaper begun by the group.
Moren and Ruth Tye made scarves for children and staff at Sandy Hook School as well as first responders there as part of a GFWC project sponsored by the Connecticut Federation of Women's Clubs.
Donations were made to the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown, and members will be collecting swim goggles, water shoes, pens, pencils and other items for Camp Kno Koma, a camp for children with diabetes.
Favors were made for Valley Haven Nursing Home and Ann's Country Retreat.
The GFWC-WV state convention will be held March 22-23 at The Greenbrier Resort.
