WEIRTON - The Art Department of the Weirton Woman's Club, a General Federation of Women's Clubs of West Virginia member organization, met Feb. 25 Undo's for lunch and a meeting, with Chair Enid Williams presiding.
Minnie Pazich gave the inspiration.
Program Chair Joan Underwood introduced local artist and graphic designer Tempy Moore, whose favorite subjects include sports figures Myron Cope, Andrew McCutcheon and Theo Fleury. She specializes in hand-drawn portraiture and collectible sports art for marketing and memorabilia. Her company, Art For Yinz, has a website at www.artforyinz.com.

This month members were asked to wear fancy pins and tell the significance of their pin.
Sharon Neeley reported applications were sent out for the annual Holiday Crafts Festival, which will be held Nov. 3.
Shirlee Baltich announced Jeanne Amidon would give the March inspiration. Program Chair Joan Underwood reported March is National Craft Month and members are invited to bring a favorite craft and participate in a show and tell.
Chair Williams reminded members to wear green or Celtic jewelry. Baltich reported on cell phone caller identification blocking.
Diana Durst, State President's Project Camp Kno-Komo chair, announced this year she would like to send three children to Camp Kno-Komo to learn how to deal with juvenile diabetes. She also reported the Literary Department will be holding a gently used book sale at the general meeting and at department meetings to help replenish the children's collection at Mary H. Weir Public Library. She also is requesting children's books for a birthday basket at the library.
Neeley announced the Garden Department's Calendar Luncheon will be held April 13, and the program will be by vocalist Victoria Gerst.
Sandra Robbins, Book Review Luncheon chair, reported the annual Book Review Luncheon will be held April 20 at Williams Country Club, and the Literary Department will hold a Kindle Fire HD drawing.
