HILL, James O. Jr., age 63, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
James was born in Steubenville, OH on August 15, 1949.
He was preceded in death by his father, the late James O. Hill, Sr. and his companion, Carol Davenport of Toronto, OH; and his mother, the late Margaret M. Childers and her husband, Ken, of Empire, OH.
James was a self- employed businessman before his retirement, and attended the former Center Chapel United Methodist Church. James served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award.
James is survived by three daughters, Annette J. Marker and her husband, Kenny of Steubenville, OH, Neysa J. Rogers and her husband, Mark of Richmond, OH, and Samantha M. Hudson of Follansbee, WV; 10 grandchildren, Ashlee Marker and her fiance Eric Linke, Brandon Marker, Darren Devore, Nathan Marker, Travis Higgs, Mark Rogers, Dominic Rogers, Bryce Rogers, Koty Hudson, and Gabe Hudson. He had one great-granddaughter Nevaeh Linke. James is also survived by three sisters, Diane C. Woodrum and her husband, Roger of Dillonvale, OH; Pamela S. Larkins and her husband, Frank of Toronto, OH; and Carrie Oliver and her husband, Dave "Ollie" of Chester, WV. James was survived by his Aunt Avella Dennis and her husband, Ralph of Steubenville, OH; and his Aunt Erma Gribbin and her husband, Sonny of Wintersville, OH; his cousin, Caroline Gorby and her husband, Butch, of Bloomingdale, OH. He also enjoyed spending time with his other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration service of James life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Jason Elliott officiating.
The Toronto American Legion Post 86 will conduct full military honors at the funeral home.
