Arrested: Ernest Johnson, 57, 919 Belmont St., Weirton, failure to appear, Tuesday.

Arrested: Ashley Hayes, 29, 425 Clinton St., possession of drug paraphernalia and a bench warrant for failure to appear, Wednesday.

Cited: Thomas C. Adams, 145 Powers Road, Weirton, speeding; Thomas E. Welenciej, 1024 Adams St., speeding; Kimberly S. McCalla, 2020 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, speeding and driving under suspension; Mary J. Hall, 4120 Washington St., Weirton, failure to maintain control and no operator's license after she struck a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of State Street.

Vandalism: Window broken in 1600 block of Ridge Avenue, Tuesday.

Vandalism: Tire slashed in 300 block of Braybarton Boulevard, Tuesday.

Theft: Purse stolen from locked car parked in garage at Trinity Medical Center East, Tuesday.

Theft: Nearly $2,500 in nine separate transactions reported missing from a Fairmont Avenue resident's bank account between Dec. 3, 2012, and Dec. 6, 2012.

Theft: DISH network cable box stolen from residence in 1300 block of Jefferson Street, Tuesday.

Arrested: Mark Douglas Bensie, 52, 2662 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, domestic violence, possession of a weapon while under the influence of alcohol, and possession of drugs, pills believed to be hydrocodone, Tuesday.

Arrested: Chad A. Strope, 41, 71340 Grell Arms Drive, Martins Ferry, failure to appear, Tuesday.

Theft: Wallet taken from vehicle parked in driveway on Water Street in Richmond, Tuesday.

Dog bite: Individual on Island Creek Township Road 371, Toronto, reported being bit by a pit bull, Tuesday.

Mail tampering: Residents on Island Creek Township Road 382, Steubenville, told deputies someone is opening mail that contains identifying information, Tuesday.

Break-in: A resident on state Road 152, Toronto, interupted a burglary at a neighbor's home, forcing intruders to leave residence, Tuesday.

Brooke County sheriff

Arrested: John F. Davis, 45, 558 Hukill Run Road, Wellsburg, three counts of violation of a domestic violence protective order, Tuesday.

Cited: Raymond E. Dennis, 53, 1005 Second St., Brilliant, unsecure load; Megan E. Kubacko, 20, 160 Parkway Drive, Wellsburg, speeding; Thomas E. McGaughey, 44, 101 Fourth St., Follansbee, speeding; and Chelsey L. Johnson, 18, 130 Gilson Ave., Weirton, underage consumption. Three juveniles with Johnson also were charged with underage consumption but their names weren't released.

Theft: A home on McKims Ridge in Colliers was entered between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday and two televisions and a box containing jewelry were taken.
