WEIRTON - Tom Knopp of Kenova is walking in all 55 West Virginia counties to raise hunger awareness and will be walking in Hancock County beginning at 7:45 a.m. May 3 at the West Virginia State Office Building located on Cove Road.
Weirton May George Kondik will walk with Knopp, who will begin his walk at 8:30 a.m. The public also is invited to walk with Knopp.
Funds raised will benefit the Community Bread Basket, which serves Brooke and Hancock counties.

The goal of the Walking Out Hunger program is to raise $10,000 for operating expenses in each West Virginia county.
Knopp is the Kenova Good Samaritan Center director.
