WEIRTON - The westbound lanes of U.S. Route 22 between Three Springs Drive and the Harmon Creek exit will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Monday while crews apply a high-friction, skid-deterrent surface to each lane.
The project also will involve the westbound on-ramp from Three Springs Drive. Pending suitable weather and other conditions, the work is expected to be completed later this week.
The West Virginia Division of Highways also has announced other, minor road work to be performed next week, pending suitable weather.
In Hancock County, crews will be patching state Routes 8 and 105, ditching along Cable and Tomlinson Park roads and mowing along Lick Run, Rainey Hill, Ballantyne, Turkey Foot and Wylie Ridge roads.
In Brooke County, crews will be patching U.S. Route 22 and pulling shoulders and ditches along Mahan Lane, Rockdale Road and Eldersville roads and Allegheny Street.
