Sheriff to continue town meetings

May 14, 2013
From staff reports , Weirton Daily Times

NEW CUMBERLAND Hancock County Sheriff Ralph A. Fletcher plans to continue interacting with local communities as he meets with residents in the Lawrenceville area this week.

On 7 p.m. Thursday, Fletcher plans to speak at the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Department.

Fletcher said the meeting will be much like the ones previously conducted in Newell. He said it will give him a chance to meet with residents, hear their concerns and give them some information about his plans for the county.

"I am looking forward to meeting with residents and branching out to other areas of our county for additional meetings. I believe they have been successful thus far," he said, noting he hopes to also speak with New Manchester residents.

Fletcher said he hopes to get a good turnout from the public.

He said one of the keys to accomplishing his goals and addressing the needs of the people is to have open communication.
