MCDONALD - The McDonald Borough Summer Tennis program will be held June 11 through Aug. 6 at the Harry Collins Courts in Heritage Park.
The registration deadline is May 27.
The classes are open to children aged 5 to 17. Adult classes also are available, as well as high school preparatory classes. All children's lessons will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays. The eight-week course includes 16 lessons. Tennis shoes, hats and water bottles are required; racquets will be provided to those children who don't have one. A meet-and-greet with Coach Nick Wilson and skill evaluation will be held June 10. The 5- to 10-year-old beginner class will meet at 10 a.m.; the 5- to 10-year-old intermediate class will meet at 11 a.m.; the 11- to 17-year-old beginner class will meet at 12:15 p.m.; the 11- to 17-year-old intermediate class will meet at 1:15 p.m.; and the high school prep class, for those children in ninth through 12th grades with prior tennis experience, will meet at 3 p.m.
The cost is $40 for the first child and $20 for every additional child in a family. T-shirts are available for an additional $8.
Adult lessons will be held at 6 p.m. Mondays. Adult lessons are $60 for eight one-and-a-half hour lessons.
