WELLSBURG - A Follansbee man arrested for stabbing his roommate in the torso multiple times was among 29 individuals indicted by a Brooke County grand jury Monday.
Presided by 1st Judicial Circuit Court Judge Ronald Wilson, the grand jury returned an indictment against David Roland Hoffman, 45, of 144 Loretta Ave., Follansbee, for malicious assault.
The charge is in connection with a May 19 incident in which Hoffman allegedly used a butcher knife to stab his roommate, who was transported by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital, according to the Brooke County Sheriff's Department.
Also indicted were Mark Galiano, 38, and Michelle Galiano, 35, both of RD 1, Colliers; and Earl O. Gorby, 44, of Avella, Pa., each for two counts of malicious assault, two counts of committing assault during a felony, one count of burglary and one count of conspiring.
The charges stem from an April 8 incident in which the Galianos and Gorby allegedly entered a Dream Lane, Wellsburg, home through a window at night and beat two men there with broken table legs, according to the Brooke County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's deputies said the men were found with multiple lacerations and bruises, and one was transported first to Weirton Medical Center and then to a Pittsburgh area hospital for treatment.
Ronald DiEugene, 23, of 1019 Virginia Ave., Follansbee, was indicted for first-degree robbery in connection with the March 11 robbery of the Follansbee Subway restaurant.
Follansbee Police said an employee was leaving through a rear door, following a day's work, when DiEugene, wearing a bandana to conceal his face and bearing a knife, allegedly forced her back inside and robbed the business of about $420 in cash and coins.
Police said the woman was unharmed.
Larry M. Hundagen, no age given, of Windsor Heights, was indicted for third-degree sexual abuse, third-degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust for alleged sexual contact and intercourse with a minor in July 2008.
Brian Peterson, 36, of 205 Walter Ave., Follansbee, was indicted for first-degree sexual assault, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and four counts of sexual abuse by a custodian for alleged sexual contact and intercourse with a minor between November 2012 and April 2013.

Jonathan M. Smith, 31, of 312 Mears Ave., Steubenville, and Darci Starn, 29, of 100 Allen St., Amsterdam, were each indicted for second-degree robbery, burglary and conspiring for allegedly breaking into a Halls Road, Colliers home on Dec. 17.
Mark Balser-Cajus, 47, of Aliquippa, Pa., and Paul Crisp, 47, of Marienville, Pa., each for grand larceny and conspiring for allegedly stealing scrap metal from Strauss Industries in Weirton on Dec. 25.
Douglas Pate, 26, of 54 Dennis Ridge Road, Colliers, for burglary and conspiring for allegedly breaking into a Colliers home to rob it on Jan. 30.
Thelma Black, 38, of 772 Coss Lane, Wellsburg, for retaliating against a witnss after allegedly threatening a witness in a case pending against her.
William Lee Stephens II, 21, of 325 Arch St., Follansbee, for burglary and conspiring for allegedly breaking into the former Di's Gym in Follansbee.
Joshua Ryan Johnson, 21, of 300 Miller Ave., Weirton, for fraud using a stolen credit card.
Bruce Reinhardt, 21, of Apartment 9, 805 Market St., Steubenville, for two counts of fraud using a stolen credit card and one count each of aiding and abetting and conspiring.
Stephanie Johnson, 29, of 533 Rockdale Road, Follansbee, for fraud using a stolen credit card, conspiring and two counts of aiding and abetting in the fraud.
Reinhardt and Johnson's charges stem from the same case.
Acacia R. Gaudio, 22, of Midland, Pa., fraud using a stolen debit card and conspiring.
Raymond Hanlon, 46, of 135 Bonnie Beth Drive, Wellsburg, fraud using an unauthorized credit card.
Nicole Starr Clouston, 30, of 2852 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, for fraudulent scheme.
Cynthia Baird, 48, of 40 Woodcrest Mobile Manor, Follansbee, aiding and abetting in delivery of cocaine, conspiring and child neglect creating a risk of injury for allegedly conducting a drug deal with a child present.
Christopher Robertson, 23, of 257 Wetzel St., Weirton, for delivering Oxycodone and conspiring.
Charles Reeder, 62, of 101 Grant St., Newell, delivering marijuana.
Francis Katnik, 29, and Jared Katnik, 25, both of 406 Commerce St., Wellsburg, each for two counts of delivering heroin.
Michael A. Diley, 22, of Steubenville, for three counts each of transporting Hydrocodone into the state and delivering it.
Sean Rujak, 28, of 52 Sycamore Lane, Wellsburg, for delivering methadone and conspiring.
Douglas Valero, 31, of 202 Lower Spruce St., Follansbee, delivering Oxycodone and conspiring.
