Polish Heritage

Day scheduled

WHEELING - A Polish Heritage Day Celebration will be held Sunday at the Our Lady of Grace Grotto located at 4501 Eoff St.

Wheeling-Charleston Catholic Diocese Bishop Michael J. Bransfield will be the celebrant of a Mass with Polish hymns and readings at 12:30 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church located at 2111 Market St.

Festivities will continue after Mass until 6 p.m. at the Polish American Patriot Club located at 4410 Jacob St. The event will include kielbasa, pierogies and golabki and Polish music.

Kiwanis to hold

chicken dinner

WELLSBURG - The Kiwanis Club of Wellsburg will hold a barbecue chicken dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 27 at the 12th Street Fire Station.

Meals include one-half chicken, baked potato, apple sauce, roll and dessert and are served in take-out containers. Meals are $8.

Class of 1974 set

to hold reunion

WEIRTON - The Brooke High School Class of 1974 will hold a 40th reunion July 14 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center located on Colliers Road.

HICKORY - The Old Schoolhouse Players will present "Annie" at 7:30 p.m. July 19-20 and 26-27 and 3 p.m. July 21 and 28 at the Bud Allison Memorial Auditorium at the Mount Pleasant Township Community Center located at 20 Wabash Ave.

Bethany Kohl-Peternel will direct; Ruth Ann Fox is the musical director; and Krista Kaley is the choreographer. Tickets are $16 for adults, $13 for seniors 60 and older and $8 for children 12 and under. Discounts are available for groups of 10 and more. Reservations are recommended. MCDONALD, Pa. - The McDonald Trail Station will hold its annual fleatique and flea market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27 at the station.

All vendors, including food and craft vendors and those holding yard sales, are welcome. The deadline for signing up is July 23 and set-up begins at 8 a.m. July 27. Four Seasons host

Diana Ross trip

PITTSBURGH - The Four Seasons Seniors are sponsoring a trip to see Diana Ross perform at 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at Heinz Hall.

The reservation deadline is July 16, and the bus will depart at 5 p.m. Aug. 20 from the Three Springs Drive K-Mart. There will be a stop for dinner; the cost of dinner is not included in the ticket price. The cost for the show and transportation is $114.
