GREGORY, Pastor Mary Alice Perdue, 70, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away June 24, 2013, in Steubenville.
She was born December 7, 1942, in Florence, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Foster and Marguerite Cole Culbreath.
She was a graduate of Bellaire High School and attended Jefferson Community College. She was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance and specialized in loving her family and everyone else.
Religiously, she was non-denomenational, but she especially enjoyed a spiritual relationship with the Sabbath Rest Ministries, For years she hosted a community Radio Show on WDIG.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Henry Crayton, Jeryl Smallwood and Ronnie Lee Smallwood and her maternal grandmother, Mary Brantley.
Surviving are her husband, John W. Gregory of Steubenville; three sons, Pastor Charles Perdue of Cincinnati, OH, James (Lori) Perdue of Columbus, OH, Andre Gregory of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Renee (Mic-hael) Perdue Rucker and Susan Gregory both of Atlanta, Georgia; four brothers, Pastor Glenn (Maxine) Perdue of Steubenville, Frederick (Mary) Perdue of Altadena, California; and Harry (Debra) Smallwood of Columbus, OH, and Lennie Smallwood of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Linda Smallwood of Atlanta, Georgia and Paula Smallwood of Steubenville; five grandchildren, two grandsons, Roderick Perdue of Steubenville and Jordon Ferguson of Columbus, OH and three granddaughters, Hediah Perdue of Cincinnati, Jalen Berry of Columbus and Olivia Perdue of Columbus, Ohio and a host of Loving Relatives and friends.
Calling hours are Friday June 28, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to the service at 11 a.m. at Simpson United Methodist and C.M.E. Church at 430 Slack Street, Pastor Glenn Perdue and Charles Perdue will be persiding over the services.
