Crusaders seeking volleyball coach

Steelers to hold final sign-ups

WEIRTON - Final registration for the Weirton Steelers youth football team will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday at K-Mart on Three Springs Drive.

The Steelers will also hold a fundrasier on July 8 at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza at Settlers Ridge in Robinson. Twenty percent of the sales on all orders will be donated. Tell the server you are dining to support the Weirton Steelers.

Touchdown club to hold scramble

RAYLAND - The Buckeye Local Touchdown Club will hold its annual golf scramble on July 13 at Paradise Hills Golf Course. Cost is $45 per person and includes skins. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Baseball tournament to be held

BERGHOLZ - The Bergholz Baseball and Softball Association will host its inaugural "Battle in the Berg" on July 8-12 in two divisions - U10 and U12.

Format will be pool play followed by a single elimination tournament. Trophies to awarded to first- and second-place teams. Three games are guaranteed. The cost is $225 and two baseballs.

Camps at Weirton church

WEIRTON - Coach Mel Coleman will host his 29th-annual basketball camp from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8-12 at the Mercy Baptist Church's Bush Center.

It is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 18. It is the longest-running basketball camp in the Tri-State Area. All campers receive a T-shirt, lunch and lessons from qualified staff and instructors.
