WEIRTON - Three Weirton residents were arrested Friday evening on multiple drug charges during a traffic stop.
According to a press release issued Friday night by the Weirton Police Department, Roger Todd Flati, 30, Jessica Connelly, 30, and Doris Jane Arnold, 29, were involved in the illegal possession and distribution of heroin.
The statement said the three individuals were traveling from Steubenville to Weirton and were stopped by the Weirton police.
The police release said Flati had six bags of heroin concealed in his pants.
Flati was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, transporting heroin into the state with the intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess heroin with the intent to distribute.
Connelly and Arnold were charged with conspiracy to transport heroin into the state with the intent to distribute and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
The press release said the Weirton Police street crimes unit and patrol division had developed credible information about the three individuals during the past two weeks.
