Officers were installed for the 2013-14 year and awards presented when the Richmond Lions Club held its recent dinner meeting at the Mill Creek Inn.
Jim Everson, zone 5 chairman, served as the installing officer of the new club leaders who are assuming their positions this month.
Phil Flenniken will serve another term as president. Joining him are Ralph Proffitt, first vice president; Don Swickard, second vice president; Bob Alpino and Leonard Orwick, secretary; Mark Johnson, treasurer; Marge Alpino, lion tamer; Linda McConnell, tail twister; Carl Shepherd, Kenny McConnell and Kenny Miser, directors; and Larry Neptune, Kenny McConnell and Carl Shepherd, membership committee.
Proffitt presented perfect attendance awards to Bob Alpino, Kenny and Linda McConnell, Shepherd, Flenniken and Swickard.
Everson inducted Mark Kincaid of Bergholz as a new member in the club.
Proffitt told members and guests that the club "did a lot of good and helped many people in the community.
"We purchased glasses for children and adults in the Edison School District, collected more than 200 pairs of glasses, gave two Edison High School scholarships, participated in Quaker Day and Festival in the Woods, presented checks to the District 13-G Parade of Checks and sponsored a golf scramble at Spring Hills Golf Course."
