New Cumberland Lions set to hold pulled pork dinner

NEW CUMBERLAND - The New Cumberland Lions Club will hold a pulled pork fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 20 in the Swaney Memorial Library parking lot.

A pulled pork dinner will cost $6.50 and a pulled pork sandwich will cost $5. Coleslaw sandwich topping is an additional 25 cents. One-half chicken dinners are available for $7. One-half smoked chicken is $5.50. Both dinners include baked beans and either potato salad or coleslaw.

Chickens are limited; advance ordering is recommended. Whole pork butts are available for $22 by advance order only. To ensure receiving a chicken or order a pork butt, make an advance order by calling Lion Bob Manypenny at (304) 564-5055 by noon July 18.

Vendors sought for fair

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Fair Board seeks vendors for the fair, which will be held Sept. 6-8 at Brooke Hills Park.

Preschool accepting registration

PARIS, Pa. - Little Village Preschool of Tri-State Christian Academy is accepting fall enrollment for 3- and 4-year-olds.

Classes include age-appropriate activities revolving around friendship, caring, sharing and fun while learning early math skills and reading readiness.

Class size is kept small and family activities and involvement are encouraged.

"Romper Stompers," a class for 2 1/2 year olds, also has openings and provides a "learn to play" group interaction twice a week.
