Kenneth Haines, Weirton, pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license (administrative) and was found guilty. Fined $100 and assessed court costs. Pleaded no contest to no proof of insurance and was found guilty. Fined $200 and assessed court costs. Pleaded no contest to improper registration and was found guilty. Fined $50 and assessed court costs. Charge of receiving stolen property dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Loretta Byard, New Cumberland, charge of fishing without a license dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Garrett Mullins, Weirton, charge of domestic battery dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Corey Brewer, Weirton, pleaded guilty to domestic battery. Sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for time served starting from June 1. Assessed court costs. Charge of domestic battery (three counts) dismissed with prejudice at prosecutor's request.

Jason Jeter, Weirton, pleaded no contest to public intoxication and was found guilty. Fined $100 and assessed court costs. Charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and battery on an officer dismissed with prejudice at prosecutor's request.

July 17

Robert Dennis Jr., Poland, Ohio, charge of driving under the influence dismissed without prejudice at the request of defense counsel and with no objection from the state. Charge of possession of a controlled substance (two counts) dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Johnny Mack Brown Jr., Weirton, pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license (DUI) and was found guilty. Sentence of 30 days in jail suspended. Placed on six months' unsupervised probation with a $30 probation fee. Fined $150 and assessed court costs.

Cynthia Staley, Weirton, charge of driving on a suspended license (non-DUI) dismissed at prosecutor's request.

July 19

John Hester, Newell, charges of worthless check, breaking and entering (two counts), and grand larceny (two counts) transferred to Hancock County Circuit Court.

Kara Richmond, Weirton, charge of shoplifting (third offense) waived to Hancock County Circuit Court.

Mason Jones, Chester, charge of malicious assault dismissed at prosecutor's request and refiled as battery, to which defendant pleaded guilty. Sentenced to one year in jail, with credit for 16 days and the remaining 349 days suspended. Placed on six months' unsupervised probation with a $30 probation fee. Ordered to pay $25 to the victim's assistance fund and assessed court costs.

Glenn Hudson, Weirton, charge of making threats of terrorist acts dismissed without prejudice upon joint motion.
