Sounds of Italy

August 5, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
Children with the Italian-American Culture Club’ Campo Italiano program entertained residents of Brightwood Center Genesis Eldercare with the Italian folk songs they have learned with the help of Mariella Pittera, who dressed in traditional Italian clothing; and Robert Palladino. Performing “The Little Washer Woman,” the words to “The Chicken Dance,” and other songs were, from left, front: Michael Fabbro, Mathew Fabbro, Kolbe Palladino and Giulia Carrocci; and back: Norah Yonce, Dianna Lanaghan, JohnPaul Palladino and Maria Palladino. Alex Dombrowski, the center’s chef, prepared bruschetta and salad for the occasion, and the tables were decorated with checkered tablecloths, empty bottles of wine and grapes. -- Warren Scott
