WELLSBURG - Bill and Karen Williams of Wellsburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Sept. 7.
They were united in marriage on Sept. 7, 1963, at the Central Baptist Church in Hinton, W.Va., by the late Rev. W. Robert McCoy.
A native of South Charleston, she is the daughter of the late Mary Caldwell and Cy Mazzella. She is retired from the Brooke County Ambulance Service and employed part-time by the Brooke County Solid Waste Authority.
He is the son of the late Thomas E. and Helen Williams Ventresca. He is retired from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 553, was the owner of Williams' Barber Shop and is a former mayor of Wellsburg.
The couple owned the Classic Touch Barber and Beauty Salon. He is employed part-time by Tommy's Classic Touch.
They are the parents of three children, Holly King of Garner, N.C.; Eberle Lazear and of Wellsburg; and Tommy of Wellsburg. They have four grandchildren.
