Greater Weirton Senior Center

holding 'First Thursday' dance

WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Senior Center will hold their "First Thursday" dance today at the center located on Main Street.

The doors open at 5 p.m., and The Sands of Time will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $5.

The "King and Queen" card party will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available for $8.

Authority holding emergency meeting

WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Port Authority will hold an emergency meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pike Island Pool Marine Terminal located at 3035 Birch Drive. The meeting will include an executive session to discuss financing, real estate and ethics.

Newell holding 'mega bingo'

NEWELL - The Newell Volunteer Fire Department will hold "mega bingo" Saturday at the department hall.

There will be a $7,500 total payout. Doors open at 4 p.m., early bird begins at 6 p.m. and regular bingo begins at 7 p.m.

Country Friends to

host Sands of Time

COLLIERS - Country Friends will host The Sands of Time Saturday at the Memorial Hall located at 402 Old Police Lodge Road.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance begins at 7 p.m.

Country Friends has covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m., and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

Country Friends Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christianity, friendship and brotherly love through music. All proceeds go to charity.

Trinity to hold

annual picnic

WEIRTON - Trinity Lutheran Church will hold its annual picnic at 10 a.m. Sunday at Get Togethers picnic grounds on Kings Creek Road.

The Rev. Michael Heckathorn will lead the church service, immediately followed by a picnic and games.

Trinity members and former members are welcome to attend. Church President Colleen Daily also invites the congregation of Resurrection Lutheran Church.
