STEUBENVILLE - Bad news, Pirates fans.
If you're a Comcast subscriber and the MLB Network isn't part of your normal cable package you won't be watching today's game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals at 1 p.m.
On Thursday, Comcast said customers in areas where MLB is an add-on - a list that includes Steubenville, Wintersville, Wellsburg and Follansbee - would have to make alternative viewing plans.
"Customers in these areas may wish to access Friday's game online through a subscription at MLB.com," Comcast officials said in a statement released late Thursday morning. "At this time, all other Pirates playoff games are scheduled to be broadcast on channels that are available to all Comcast customers."
The MLB Network is part of the channel lineup for Comcast subscribers in Weirton. According to the schedule released by MLB, any other playoff game involving the Pirates is scheduled to be televised on TBS. Area residents who subscribe to DirecTV and the Dish will have access to the MLB Network.
