Church Women United set to

hold Community Day service

WEIRTON - The Church Women United will celebrate World Community Day at 11 a.m. Friday at the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church located at 121 Ivy St.

The group also will be collecting snacks for the Dunbar Community Center. Nancy Sanders is the coordinator; Mary Ellen Groves is the choir director; and Vice President Sanders will preside.

There will be a luncheon in the fellowship hall immediately following.

The clergy and public are welcome to attend.

Family Jewels to host auction

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - Relay for Life Team Family Jewels will host the annual Christmas quarter auction Nov. 3 at First Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 235 N. Fourth St.

Doors open at 12:15 p.m., and the auction begins at 1 p.m. Lunch will be available. Tickets are $5.

Vendors include Tastefully Simple, Country Delights, Kelli's Goodies, Longaberger, Jamberry, Pink Zebra, Occasions by Crystal and Angela, Tupperware, Beauti Control, Pampered Chef, Party Lite, Scentsy, Thirty-One and Knot.Sew.Perfect.

Deacons holding dinner

WEIRTON - The Cove Presbyterian Church deacons will hold their annual spaghetti dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church located on Main Street and Cove Road.

Eat-in and take-out are available.

Church holding All Souls service

WHEELING - Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church will hold a Polish All Souls Day, or Dzien Zaduszny, services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 4136 Jacob St.

The service will include a rosary and wypominki, the reading of the names of the deceased. Those attending are asked to write down the names of family and friends they want to be read and bring it to the service.

Church holding turkey dinner

WEIRTON - St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold a turkey dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the church located on Three Springs Drive.

The dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, dinner rolls and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Desserts will be available for purchase. Take-out will be available.

Lodge holding cabbage roll dinner

COLLIERS - The Rebekah Lodge 42 will hold a cabbage roll dinner from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 9 at the lodge, located next to the Colliers Post Office.

The meal includes a cabbage roll, green beans, mashed potatoes, a roll and butter and a drink. The cost is $7.50. Eat-in and take-out are available.
