The Rev. Kara Rowe, right, pastor of Chester First United Methodist Church, 240 Carolina Ave., and New Cumberland resident Marcie Chambers show off two gowns Chambers donated to be sold at the annual 'Gowns Galore' charity fundraiser Nov. 9. Donations of gently worn prom/homecoming dresses are being accepted at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Donation fee is $5. Dresses will be sold at the price established by the owner. If the dress sells, the seller receives the money. The gowns may be viewed online after Monday on the 'Gowns Galore' Facebook page. The sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. All unsold dresses, plus money for sold dresses, must be picked up at the church from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 10. Any unclaimed dresses will be given to charity.
