Questions about funeral etiquette

November 3, 2013
Weirton Daily Times

To the editor:

On Sept. 20, my son passed away. We were showing him when a person who we thought was a friend came up to the coffin and started to take pictures of my son. My daughter-in-law told her to stop and to delete the pictures off of her phone, but she didn't.

I want to know if this is proper to do this. I would think that people had more caring than to just do something so rude. When you lose someone you loved, it's hard enough without having to put up with people like that. I hope she learned her lesson.

You should learn respect for the family and not do things like that.
