PINKERTON, Joseph H. Jr., 83, of Toronto, OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, November 7, 2013.
Joseph was born June 12, 1930, in Toronto, son of the late Joseph Sr., and Vernes Kindle Pinkerton.
He was a member of the Toronto Wesleyan Church and he was retired from Weirton Steel Corp. where he worked in Electrical Maintenance BOP for 40 years.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Louise Pinkerton; two grandchildren, Brandy Marie and Erica Nicole; his brother, Charles Pinkerto; and sister, Virginia Viers.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Shelia R. (Hood) Pinkerton of home; his four children, Douglas (Sherry) Pinkerton, David A. Pinkerton, Susan E. (Roger) Burdick and Julia M. (James) Houchin all of Toronto; his 10 grandchildren, Mark Pinkerton, Tracy (Tim) McCain, Craig Pinkerton, Keith M. Pinkerton, David L. (Victoria) Sabo, Jr., Michelle McAllister, Pamela S. Sabo, Joseph J. Ott, Alexis (George) Bolyard and Kimberly Ott; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy (Ed) Horvath of Arizona, Margaret Glover of Colorado, and Cathy (Paul) Wilmer of Kansas; two brothers, William (Barbara) Pinkerton of Colorado and John Richard (Margie) Pinkerton of Wintersville, OH.
Visitation for Joseph will be held on Monday, November 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, in Toronto, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
