SHS students help with project

November 10, 2013
Weirton Daily Times

To the editor:

Paul, Michael and I wanted to send out a big thank you to Ross Ivkovich and the students of Steubenville High School.

On Oct. 25, they gave my son, Michael, a student of Wheeling Park High School, a check for $300 to help with the cost to make Michael's Meanies. He has a brain tumor and has created these to give to kids with cancer. The students didn't know Michael, but when they heard his story they decided to step up and help.

I know we hear all the time about the bad things kids are getting into these days but we have seen firsthand what the kids in the Ohio Valley can do when they set their mind on something. Everyone's support has been unbelievable. I know with all the community support Michael's Meanies will soon become a reality. Thanks again.
