Walk for Sight

November 18, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
New Cumberland Lions Club members participated in the Jack Harris Memorial Walk for Sight, despite barely above freezing temperatures to raise funds for the West Virginia Lions Sight Conservation Foundation Inc., which has helped West Virginians see and hear better for nearly 50 years. The Sight Foundation provides services which can’t be provided by individuals or local clubs, and each October, the New Cumberland Lions participate in the three-mile walk in memory of District Governor Harris. All money raised through their sponsorships goes to the foundation. Those participating included, from left, Bob Manypenny, Joyce Young, Brian Webster, Russ Flanigan, Sally Greathouse, Pam Stiles and Jim Wells. Franco’s Pizza in New Manchester provided food following the walk. -- Contributed
