JENNINGS, Riley passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2013, at the Trinity West Health System, Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born on June 24, 1946 to Riley, Sr. and Virginia Jennings.
Riley was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and attended Quinn Memorial AME Church with his wife occasionally. He liked to sing and was a member of AJ Major Chorus.
He was a graduate of Weir High School. Riley was a Postal Carrier and then he worked and retired from Weirton/ Arcelor-Mittal Steel Corp. after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father Riley, Sr., daughter, Rosemarie Hoover; nephew, Rodney Butler; and niece, Leigheal Butler.
Riley leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 45 years; Terry, mother, Virginia; sisters, Beverly (Larry) Branham and Cynthia Jennings; children, Vivian (ElBromoe) Ibrahim, Marcy Miller, Jamal Johnson and Bernadette Stinson; grandchildren, Andrea, Kyva, Nevaeh, Shayla, DelVaugh, Antwan, Jonathan; and Manasseh; brother-in-law, John (Gwen) Butler, Jr.; sister-in-law, Patricia Butler; six great- grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many children he fostered and mentored.
Funeral Service Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Quinn Memorial AME Church, 515 North St., Steubenville, Ohio at 11 a.m. Calling hours one hour prior to service at 10 a.m. Rev. Raymond Mickens will officiate.
Burial immediately following at Union Cemetery Association.
