West Liberty Still No. 2 in poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The unbeaten West Liberty University men's basketball team is No. 2 for the second consecutive week in the National Association of Basketball Coaches latest NCAA Division II Top 25 poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

The poll includes games played through Sunday.

Metro State, Colo. (2-0), which beat West Liberty in last year's national semifinals, once again received 14 of the 16 first-place votes to stay locked in at No. 1. The Roadrunners stepped out of NCAA Division II play this week and are playing exhibition games against NCAA Division I teams in the NIT Season Tipoff Tournament.

Coach Jim Crutchfield's Hilltoppers, who moved to 5-0 on the season with Monday's 128-69 dismantling of West Virginia State, are once again leading the nation in scoring at 113.0 points per game.

West Liberty will be idle over the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to action on Dec. 5 with a road game at Notre Dame of Ohio.
