Broadview Elementary school pupils high-fived “Smiley” Wednesday on their way into Eat N’ Park on Three Springs Drive in Weirton. They rang bells and sang Christmas carols to patrons in honor of the annual Tips For Tots event, part of this year’s Caring for Kids campaign. All tips collected from 11 a.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday benefited children’s hospitals in the region. “Everyone working volunteered to be here, so we’re all very into it and want to help,” Tabetha Henderson, assistant manager, said. Amanda Denunzio, left, also an assistant manager, greeted the children along with “Smiley.” In addition to the choir performance, there were “celebrity servers,” a flea market and drawing tickets for sale in the lobby offering a chance to win $200 in local gift certificates. The Caring for Kids campaign is in its 35th year and will continue through Dec. 15.
