Country Friends set to host
Stone Street Station Saturday
COLLIERS - The Country Friends will host the Stone Street Station Saturday at Memorial Hall, located at 67 Old Police Lodge Road.
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance starts at 7 p.m.
Country Friends holds covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meals begins at 5 p.m. and open mic begins at 6 p.m.
Country Friends Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christianity, friendship and brotherly love through music. All proceeds go to charity.

Churches holding cantatas, services
WEIRTON - The combined Christ Untied Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church choirs will present the Christmas cantata "Bethlehem Morning," created by Russell Mauldin and Sue C. Smith, at 9:15 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church and 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church Sunday.
Tom Dohnal is choir director and accompanist for both choirs.
Christ United Methodist Church will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and First United Methodist Church will hold a candlelight service at 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Library hosting a book signing
WEIRTON - The Mary H. Weir Public Library will host a book signing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the library located at 3443 Main St.
Cheryl Kula will sign her new children's book, "Play Day With Daddy," in which a small girl and her kitten spends a day with her father, cooking, gardening and reading while her mother is at work.
Kula lives with her husband Ted, a Weirton native, and their daughters Lieschen and Lillian. This is her first children's book.
Management Club meeting canceled
WEIRTON - The Weirton Steel Management Club meeting scheduled for Monday has been canceled. The next meeting will be Jan. 27.
