Brooke Place residents experienced a special Christmas with the help of the Children's Fund from Arcelor Mittal Weirton.
According to Mario Traffichini, manager of the electrical maintenance department of the local steel mill, employees gave generously to the fund that provides gifts at Christmastime.
Traffichini asked for a wish list from each girl at Brooke Place, and then along with his wife and daughter Andrea, shopped, wrapped and delivered the gifts in time for Santa's visit. Along with the girls' gifts, the fund also contributed to the final cost of a swing set, slide and monkey bars that will be set in the spring for the residents to enjoy.
