Mary H. Weir Library to screen 'Despicable' Jan. 30

WEIRTON - The Mary H. Weir Public Library will host a free family movie night, featuring "Despicable Me," from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 in the activity room at the library, located at 3443 Main St.

Light refreshments will be served.

Those attending are welcome to bring pillows and blankets.

Senior Center

WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Senior Center will hold a dance at 5 p.m. Thursday, featuring a musical perfomance by Light Touch.

The cost is a $5 donation.

Shriners holding

pancake breakfast

WEIRTON - The Weirton Shriners will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Northern Panhandle Shrine Club on Cove Road, near the State Department of Highways Garage.

The breakfast menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The cost of the meal is $6 for adults, $3 for children 12- to 6-years-old and free for children under 6-years-old.

The public is welcome.

Peeler named to

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Benjamin Peeler of New Cumberland was named to the fall dean's list at Bob Jones University. Students must earn a 3.0 Grade-Point Average. He is a freshman history major.
