TURNBULL, Phyllis Marlene, 75, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014.
Phyllis was born in Clarksburg, WV on Sept. 10, 1938, to parents, Orville and Clella (Davis) Freeman.
Phyllis loved to paint, sew, and make crafts. She enjoyed bargain shopping and spending time with her many friends. Phyllis was faith driven and participated in the nursing home ministry at The Woodlands at Robinson and was an attender at the New Testament Baptist Church in Ravenna. She loved attending church functions but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, David Edward Turnbull. Surviving also are her children: Allan Wayne (Diana) Turnbull, Joan Lynn (Rev. H. Franklin) Jones, Richard Scott (James L. Hauer, MD) Turnbull, and Terry Lee (Peggy Wilkinson) Turnbull. Phyllis leaves her loving grandchildren: Katelyn Turnbull, Jared Franklin (Sarah) Jones, Travis (Courtney) Jones, Alicia Jones, Casey (Trent) Schlabach, Ashley Turnbull and Tiffany Turnbull. Surviving also are her great-grandchildren: Nathan, Hannah, Keeley and Ruger. She also leaves her brother, Loye "Jack" Freeman and her nieces and nephews: Karen (Tim) Thornton, Jack R. Freeman, Cathy, Patty, Darren and her sister-in-law, Judith (Miguel) Trevino.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arliss "Bud" Freeman and her nephew, Arliss "Buddy" Freeman.
Family will receive friends at the Wood- Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 in the Chapel at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph, OH. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
