West Virginia Reads 150

April 28, 2014
Weirton Daily Times
The West Virginia Library Commission and the Mary H. Weir Public Library are sponsoring a reading challenge for readers of all ages. Last year for the state’s sesquicentennial, West Virginia residents were challenged to form teams to read 150 books through the course of the year. In 2013, six teams registered through the Mary H. Weir Public Library. Those six teams read a total of 2,433 books during 2013, far exceeding the goal of 150 books per team. For 2014, the challenge is WV Reads 150 plus. Teams may consist of any number of people of any age group. Registration forms are available at the library. -- Contributed
