Paying tribute

May 26, 2014
Weirton Daily Times
Chester Arts Club members, from left, Marlene Fleming, Joanne Hobbs, Bev Stevens and Mary Ann Wright plant begonias outside the Chester post office on Tuesday as part of a Memorial Day project. The wooden star in the planter was one of several cut out by Chester contractor John Murray and decorated by Oak Glen High School art students. In the last 10 years, the Chester Arts Club has maintained the flower planters along Carolina Avenue, the Frank Richmond Memorial Garden at the Chester Municipal Building, and the Pugh Memorial Garden on First Street. -- Stephen Huba
