NEW CUMBERLAND - A conditional bond reduction has been ordered in the case of a man who allegedly placed explosive devices near the Weirton Municipal Building in May.
This morning, Hancock County Magistrate Michael S. White reduced the bond for David Jared Patterson, 23, from $150,000 to $25,000 professional surety bond on the condition he only be released under GPS-monitored house arrest at his mother's house.
Patterson was arrested by Weirton police on May 21 following an investigation into the May 5 discovery of the three chemical explosive devices at the Municipal Building.
A federal investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Patterson is being represented by Weirton attorney Alex Risovich.
