WEIRTON - Rich Lamp pitched a plan for a community clean-up project at a recent Weirton Lions Club meeting, and the club will host a clean-up July 12.
Those interested in participating are asked to meet by 9 a.m. at the Weirton Event Center. Following the clean-up, a free luncheon will be provided to volunteers.
Several areas in the city have been tentatively identified for clean-up, depending on the number of volunteers available. These areas will be assigned to volunteers, depending on the number of volunteers. The Lions Club will provide some of the food for the luncheon and volunteers to assist with the luncheon and organization efforts at the event center.
