WEIRTON - An annual summer celebration in honor of Weirton's Greek heritage is making its return this week.
All Saints Greek Orthodox Church will hold its 27th-annual Weirton Greek Festival at the church, 3528 West St., Thursday through Saturday.
The festival will take place each day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

TO?PERFORM — The Kyiv Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, from Carnegie, Pa., is among this year’s entertainment lineup for the Weirton Greek Festival, set to begin Thursday at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton. The group will perform Saturday. -- Contributed
The festival features a variety of homemade Greek food, including pastichio, lamb, grape leaves and spanakopita, as well as pastries including baklava, koulourakia and galatobouriko.
A market place will be available in the church hall for much of the food orders, with outdoor booths also available.
There also will be a full slate of entertainment throughout the festival, with disc jockey Jim Antoniou providing music all three days, and guided church tours offered.
All three days, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Greek Company Orchestra will perform, with an 8 p.m. appearance by The Patriotakia and Aegean Dancers of All Saints.
Saturday's entertainment lineup will include the Kyiv Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, from Carnegie, Pa., at 2 p.m.; Fehrion Studios at 3 p.m.; the Weirton Christian Center Kids Signs of Hope at 5 p.m.
