The takedown

July 23, 2014
Weirton Daily Times

A Six Recycling worker pulls on a wooden board Tuesday while a backhoe knocks down another brick wall of a long-vacant house in New Cumberland. The house, in the 600 block of North Chestnut Street, was one of six condemned by the courts as nuisances in 2011. New Cumberland City Council awarded a $5,700 demolition contract to Six Recycling in June, and work began last week. -- Stephen Huba
