ROSE, Frank Sr., 91, of Dillonvale, OH, passed Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville.
He was born in Dillonvale on Oct. 22, 1922, a son of the late Antimo and Aligretta Rose.
Frank was a retired Railroad employee, a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Rose on Dec. 26, 2012; brothers; Andrew, George and Victor Rose, and a sister, Louise Casshie.
Frank is survived by two sons: Frank A. (Janie) Rose Jr. of Toronto, Ohio, Ricky A. (Marilyn) Rose of Boynton Beach, Fla.; grandchildren: Amanda (Brett) Spicer, Allison Rose, step-granddaughter Karen; and a great-granddaughter: Madeline.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. John C. Kolesar as celebrant.
Military Honors provided by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529 at Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
