Brooke High graduate Heath Hildreth, flanked by principal Toni Shute and baseball coach Ron Ujcich, will continue his academic and athletic careers at Mercyhurst North East, where he will study accounting and be a member of the baseball team. A four-year letterman of the baseball program, Hildreth was a captain as a senior and earned West Virginia Class AAA first-team all-state honors. He batted .495 with 16 doubles, 34 RBIs, an on-base percentage of .525 and a .747 slugging average. Hildreth batted .374 for his Bruins career with 91 RBIs and 37 doubles. The son of Joe and Stacey Hildreth was also a three-year letterman in football.
