Members of the Hancock & Brooke Young Professionals, and their guests, gathered Thursday at the Lauttamus Event Center for the organization’s inaugural Emerging Leaders Reception. The event included a look back at the group’s founding in 2022 and growth in the time since, noting it now stands with 45 active members, recognition of members Daniel Day and Nathanial Kurty with the Emerging Leader Award and a presentation on leadership by Clinton Arnold, CEO at KISRA Inc. and business and marketing professor at West Virginia State University. There also was a ribbon cutting with the Weirton Area, Follansbee and Wellsburg chambers of commerce, and a proclamation presented by the City of Weirton. — Craig Howell
