WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order for portions of three downtown streets following work on a water line in the area earlier today.

The order is in effect for the 3500 block of Orchard Street, the 3500 block of West Street, all of Brookline Street, as well as any other customers in the area who experienced the loss of water pressure.

Those who live in the affected area are advised to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice.
